Please read carefully:


This is not a business, but our own family vacation apartment which we rent out at a moderate price when not needed. We do not have staff or agents on the premises, and so rely on the kind cooperation of our guests. We will also be grateful for their understanding and help in the unlikely event that problems should arise.

We regret that smoking and pets are not permitted in the flat.

Rental periods are normally for a minimum of seven nights starting on a Saturday. Please email your requests or queries.

NB: The flat  is available from 3pm and must be vacated by 3pm, unless professional cleaning is booked, in which case it must be vacated by 10am.

A provisional booking becomes final once a non-refundable deposit of 100 Euros is paid. This sum cannot be refunded in the event of a cancellation by the guest.

The balance plus a fully refundable deposit of 300 Euros is due no later than a month before the arrival date. This deposit is normally refunded in full two weeks after the end of the stay, provided the keys have been returned, there's no damage, and the flat is in a reasonably clean state (see below under Cleaning).

 

In the event of a cancellation by the guests:

- the initial deposit (100 Euros) will not be refunded;

- up to four weeks before the start, the balance will be refunded in full;
- between four and two weeks before the start, 50% of the balance will be refunded;
- within two weeks from the start there will be no refund;

- the refundable deposit (300 Euros) will be returned in the event of a cancellation at any time and for whatever reason (as long as there is no damage and the keys are returned);

- any additional costs for professional cleaning/laundry, internet and telephone will be refunded, provided they have not already been incurred; 
- all refunds will take place within two weeks from the request, provided there is no dispute;

- for British guests paying in GBP, all refunds will be in GBP and based on the amounts originally paid;
- for all other guests, all refunds will be in Euros;
- any bank transfer / Paypal costs incurred by us will be deducted from the amount refunded. 

In the extremely unlikely event that, for any reason, the flat may become unavailable or unfit for use, we undertake to refund (in full or pro-rata) the price paid for rental and any deposits. In this case there will be no deduction for bank transfer / Paypal costs incurred by us.
We cannot, however, be held responsible for any indirect or consequential losses.

Breakage:

Should small items (glasses, cups, bulbs, etc.) be accidentally broken, guests are kindly invited to replace them with similar ones. For more serious damage they should inform us as soon as possible.

A deduction from the security deposit will be made in respect of damage caused and not appropriately repaired, or if the flat is left unclean or linen unwashed, or if the keys are not returned.

 

Cleaning & washing:
The apartment must be left in a perfectly clean condition. The terrace furniture should be cleaned and (if required) stored inside.

Guest can do their own final cleaning, or they can book in advance the services of a cleaning lady for the final cleaning/washing, however her availability at the desired time cannot be guaranteed. Her charges (to be added to the total price) currently are: 50 Euros  for cleaning + 35 Euros for washing and drying of bed linen & towels.

The final, professional cleaning (if available and booked) will include the following:
- cleaning of all floors, kitchen, bathroom, bathtub/shower, toilet;
- defrosting and cleaning of fridge;
- cleaning of terrace and storing of terrace furniture.
It will NOT include the cleaning and storing of pans, crockery, glasses, cutlery, etc., and the cleaning of the oven and microwave.

In addition, the professional washing (if booked) will include the following :
- washing/drying/ironing of ONE set of bed linen, towels and kitchen cloths per person.

 

Telephone/Internet (WiFi):

Telephone and Internet (WiFi) facilities are subject to a temporary contract with the provider and can be activated on request  (at least 2 weeks in advance).

For prices, see under Availability & Prices. The cost of any 'phone calls will be charged at the standard rates and deducted retrospectively from the deposit.

 

Equipment:

Full instructions for all the equipment available in the flat will be provided. Guests will also be provided with our telephone / mobile numbers.

 

Insurance:

We strongly advise our guests to obtain the free European Health Insurance Card (see LINKS), as well as private travel insurance (for both health/accidents and valuables).
